Father's day cake

A friend wanted an unusual father's day cake. She saw this cute japanese plush phone strap and wanted to make it into cake; again she left it up to me to do whatever except it has to be a hedgehog........I must say the only time consuming part is mixing the brown fondant, I hate store bought fondant but I really cant see myself kneading the fondant every time for over an hr again.....I have to come up with something better and soon. ( I still wont give in to store-bought fondant---it tastes like plastic bags)
These cakes are vanilla with vanilla frosting covered in fondant(4x4x4 and 3.5x3.5x3.5)

Xen's one month old babyshower/celebration

My friend's mother ( the grandmother of Xen) contacted me for their family babyshower, her request is to do whatever I want, make it black forest and not so sweet......I was so excited for this order, and of cuz since the new father and mother are such talented toy makers, I did some research, pick out this classic one from their website---- www.cutesypootoys.com ( I think I like these as much as I like the gnomes I did for them back in March....it really help when you have something so great to work with tho)

The birthday girl's mother found me and contacted me about this cake after failing to find any bakery who is willing to make the cake. I can understand I suppose, it takes longer time to figure out how much cake is needed ( i ended up cutting up almost one third of extra not used... maybe i will warm that up and put some vanilla ice cream and cold strawberries sauce on it and go to town). It was a fun cake to do when I put it together, rolling the fondant always takes alot of time and effort but I dont like to buy the already made one out there cuz I think it tasted like plastic bags...
This cake is approximately 22 inches by 13 inches, chocolate cake with white vanilla filling. The green olive is made of rice krispies and covered with fondant.
